Industrial Design Work

I worked as a designer in industry before embarking on design research. After graduating from the RCA I worked at LEGO in Denmark where I was part of a multidisciplinary team of technologists, designers and psychologists, creating play material for children.
After Lego I worked in London at various design studios, designing houseware products, textiles, furniture and interactive play material. I also set up my own design practice, working with clients in Europe, Japan, US and the UK.

In 2011 I started working in design research- first as a PhD researcher and later as research associate at the RCA’s Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design. After completing my PhD I have primarily been focussing on design research and teaching, although I ocasionally collaborate with partners in industry.
